OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2012.  KAMAZ received a delegation of its longtime partner – WABCO (Austria), one of the leading providers of electronic braking, stability, suspension and transmission automation systems for heavy duty commercial vehicles.

Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ, met with Jacques Eskulier, Director and Chairman at WABCO. Having discussed business issues, the delegation visited an IT-park opened with the participation of KAMAZ. WABCO is one of the IT-park residents, so the guests took a special interest in its facilities. Then the foreign partners went to the Scientific and Technical Center of KAMAZ where they met with Irek Gumerov, Deputy Director General of OJSC KAMAZ – Director for Development. The guests also saw vehicles built under the "Typhoon" project.

KAMAZ and WABCO have been partners for a long time. In 2007, WABCO Austria GmbH won the first tender of KAMAZ. Its proposal was considered the best. As a result, its supplies satisfy 80% of OJSC KAMAZ’s needs. Nowadays, WABCO components are used in a variety of KAMAZ vehicles and NEFAZ buses produced by KAMAZ’s subsidiary – JSC "Neftekamsk Automobile Plant".
