OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2012. Post Modern Technology (PMT), a member of ARMADA Group (MICEX-RTS: ARMD), has unveiled its new Mobile Telemedialog solution at the Information Technologies in Medicine 2012 trade show.

In 2012, some 5% of the U.S. population is expected to use mobile apps to monitor their health indicators in 2012, according to a recent research report released by Kalorama Information market research company. In Russia, this market is still in the initial phase. By implementing the Mobile Telemedialog solution, clinics using MEDIALOG medical information system would be able to provide mobile services to their clients without initial outlays.

Heart cardiogram monitoring is the first capability included in the Mobile Telemedialog solution, enabling patients to perform ECG, submit it to a doctor online for further analysis, and receive counseling via telephone. Data is transferred from a portable electrocardiograph to the server using a mobile phone. ECG data is then automatically attached to the patient’s electronic medical record in the MEDIALOG medical information system, and is available to both the patient and the doctor on MOBIMED’s website. The technological solution has been developed by Post Modern Technology LLC in cooperation with MobileTeleMedecine LLC. PMT intends to connect other future prominent devices to this solution as and when they become available.

"Including these services in regional tariffs for compulsory health insurance could become a major growth driver for the Russian mobile medicine market," PMT’s General Director Andrey Borisov said.
