OREANDA-NEWS. January 28, 2013. Moscow Domodedovo Airport has announced the finalists of the monthly contest held among the most punctual Russian and foreign airlines operating passenger flights from the airport.

The winners of December: Transaero Airlines headed the first category and operated 1463 flights exactly according to schedule. UTair won in the second category and operated 143 flights without delays. Polet airline headed the third category of the contest, and had 337 on-time flights. Pskovavia operated 13 flights without delays became the leader of the fourth category.

The leaders in terms of punctuality among foreign airlines are: Lufthansa (the fifth category, 153 on-time flights), Swiss (the sixth category, 109 flights), EL AL Israel Airlines (the seventh category, 40 flights) and Aegean Airlines (the eighth category, 17 flights without delays).

The monthly contest among the most punctual airlines-partners of Moscow Domodedovo Airport has been hold to estimate regularly the air carriers accuracy.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport — is the largest one of Russia, in 2012 airport served 28,2 million people. It joins the category of the largest airports in Europe on the classification of the Airports Council International (ACI). Domodedovo is chosen for flights by member airlines of two largest global airline alliances – oneworld and Star Alliance.
