OREANDA-NEWS. A new high technology plant of the EUROCEMENT Group Holding in Podgorensky settlement, Voronezh Region, announced production of the first test batch of CEM1 42,5H cement. Start-up operations on the main production facilities of the plant are completed. The plant will achieve its designed output in Q2, 2013.

The new plant that is unparalleled in Russia and CIS is designed to produce annually 3M ton of cement by dry method. The first stage of the launching process, i.e. supply of gas to the furnace, was completed on December 24, 2012 in the presence of Filaret Galchev, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EUROCEMENT Group, Alexey Gordeev, the Governor of Voronezh Region, and Mikhail Skorokhod, President of the EUROCEMENT Group Holding.

The plant uses the latest cement industry technologies that allow increasing labor efficiency by3.5 times and reducing fuel consumption rate by 1.6 times in comparison with any other plant using traditional production methods. At the same time the plant meets the highest ecological standards, having reduced industrial emissions by 2.5 times in comparison with the regulatory limits.

The quality of products is the key concern of the plant. Here one can see fully robotized labs supporting quality control at each production stage.

“The plant of the EUROCEMENT Group in Voronezh Region today is a unique enterprise in Russia. It will become most energy efficient and environmentally safe cement plant in Russia. It will produce cements for various purposes: residential, infrastructure, and industrial construction. Given the above, Voronezh Region will not only satisfy demand in high quality cements of the regional construction sites, but also become an exporter rather than importer of cement to other federal areas of our country,” emphasized Mikhail Skorokhod, the EUROCEMENT Group President.
