OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian Aviation Industry Congress had its sessions at Salut's “Chayka” Cultural Center with participation of more than 300 high-ranking delegates from all over Russia, including representatives of federal and regional administrative and law-making authorities, heads of leading aviation companies and social agencies.

The main focus of discussions at the Congress was on the implementation of the State Program for the Prospective Aviation Industry Development over 2013-2025.

Among more than 20 rapporteurs during the Congress proceedings were such personalities as Academician Yevgeny Fedosov, Hero of Socialist Labor; Academician Yevgeny Kablov, Director General of FSUE VIAM; Academician Mikhail Pogosyan, President of JSC UAC; Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Science Boris Alyoshin, Director General of FSUE TsAGI; Andrey Klepach, Vice-Minister of Economic Development; Mikhail Kashtan, Permanent Member of MIC under the Government of RF; Aleksandr Zelin, Advisor to Defense Minister; Yury Slyusar, Vice-Minister of Industry and Trade. In his address to the audience, Yury Slyusar made a point of stressing the true-to-life character of the guidelines set out for 2013-2025, a document that will be adaptable to market realities and improved upon first-hand by the aviation industry players.

Yury Slyusar added that the Government would continue to support the aviation sector by providing funds for new projects, making easier the obtainment of long-term and cheap loans through various mechanisms, promoting technical re-equipment of the existing facilities and stimulating the demand on Russian-made products. Until 2020, the aviation branch is also to take advantage of around 7 trillion rubles earmarked to boost its growth.
