OREANDA-NEWS. The Bank of Moscow, within the framework of the remote channel development project, provides an opportunity to file an application for the opening of basic and supplementary Visa/MasterCard cards via the Web-banking system with no need to visit the Bank’s offices. The type of the supplementary card can be chosen at the client’s sole discretion and with no regard for the type of the basic card: Classic Unembossed/ Standard Unembossed, Classic/ Standard or Gold.

Within the scope of this service a client may have a basic or supplementary card issued in his/her own name and a supplementary card in the name of any other person. The conditions of issuing cards via the Web-banking system are similar to those in effect at the Bank for the relevant type of cards.

A supplementary card is issued on the same account as the basic card and provides for the same opportunities: it can be used for payment at a shop or in the Internet, and to withdraw funds from an ATM terminal.

Supplementary cards permit clients to provide access for their relatives and friends to the funds allocated on the bank card and exercise control over all the transactions. The amount of expenses is determined by the amount allocated on the basic card account. Spending limit per day/month can also be established via the Web-banking system making it easier to control the expenses of the supplementary card holder. All the transactions with supplementary cards are reflected in the monthly account statements.

Bank cards are issued at the Bank’s office specified by the client in his/her application filed via the Web-banking system.

"We appreciate our clients’ time and therefore expand the opportunities provided by the use of the Bank’s remote channels," commented Stanislav Vavak, Director of the Remote Service and Sales Department of the Bank of Moscow. "With the opportunity to order a card remotely our clients will need much less time to obtain a comfortable and updated means of payment and cash withdrawal".
