OREANDA-NEWS. September 10, 2013. Ukraine is going to join the WTO Agreement on government procurement. This was announced by Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Igor Prasolov during his report on the Hour of the Government in Parliament.

"Negotiations on the accession of Ukraine to the WTO Agreement on government procurement are ongoing. This should provide Ukrainian companies access to the state procurement markets of 43 countries, signatories of the Agreement," the Minister said.

For example, in the USA market volume of transactions with foreign operators is estimated at over 178 billion dollars, in the EU market - 352 billion dollars, Japan market - 27 billion dollars.

Igor Prasolov also stressed that Ukraine's membership in the World Trade Organization was evidence of establishment in Ukraine transparent environment for foreign investment.
