OREANDA-NEWS. Kaluga Turbine Works (KTZ), a part of Power Machines OJSC, has signed a contract to deliver a steam turbine for shale factory in Kohtla Jarve (Estonia).

 Under the terms of the supply contract, which was signed with Ekobana CJSC (Lithuania), KTZ will deliver a 27 MW steam turbine К-27-2,9 to the city of Kohtla Jarve in Estonia. The company will also develop documentation for turbine pipes and carry out activities on supervised installation and supervised adjustment of the steam turbine. The delivery is scheduled for September 2014.

 KTZ OJSC has experience of partnership with Ekobana CJSC. Earlier, under the contract with this company and within the framework of the Kohtla Jarve factory upgrade, the plant manufactured and delivered turbine of the ПТ-27/29-2,9/0,6 type. The equipment has been successfully operated since 2011.

 The new steam turbine unit will be fitted out with a state-of-the-art microprocessor automated control system and electrified actuators in compliance with the EU requirements.
