OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus has prepared a zero-deficit budget plan for 2014, chief of the Finance Ministry's Budget Policy Department Oleg Seliverstov told a press-conference in Minsk on Tuesday.

Revenues and expenditures of the 2014 consolidated budget are expected at Br205.1 trillion (over USD 22 billion), republican budget - Br125 trillion (over USD 13 billion).

To increase budget revenues, the Finance Ministry suggests introducing another kind of transport tax - the duty on using public roads. Besides, they plan to raise the rates of the excise tax on automotive fuel, tobaccos and alcohol.

Belarus has a zero-deficit budget plan for 2013, with consolidated budget revenues and expenditures expected at Br197.4 trillion (around USD 21.4 billion).
