OREANDA-NEWS. In 2013 Lipetskcement, part of EUROCEMENT group, demonstrated significant growth of its key indicators for production and shipment of cement. During the reporting period it produced 1,398 thousand tons of cement and 1,046 thousand tons of clinker (semi-finished cement) that exceeded 2012 values by 23.3% (264.5 thousand tons) and 2.6% (26.9 thousand tons) respectively. Bagged cement production increased by 19% (28,000 tons) compared to last year and amounted to 178,000 tons.

High-quality plain cement, CEM I 42.5 N, which is in high demand, accounted for half of total cement production. In total, in 2013 Lipetskcement produced 644.5 thousand tons of this type of cement, which is almost 2 times (82.5 %) more than the year before.

During the reporting year, the company shipped its customers 23.7% more products than in 2012 - 1,408.5 thousand tons of cement. The volume of cement shipment by rail totaled 896 thousand tons, exceeding the value from the same period in 2012 by 37.3 % (243.3 thousand tons). Growth in shipments by motor vehicles amounted to 5.4% (26.3 thousand tons).

“2013 is an anniversary year for our production site. In December Lipetskcement celebrated 50 years since the plant was launched. This past year was marked by the achievement of record levels of production and shipment of cement. In July 2013 a record was set for the production of cement. For the first time in the 50-year history of the Lipetsk cement plant the company produced 203 thousand tons of cement. The previous record from August 2011 (190,250 tons) was increased by 13 thousand tons. Also in July there was a record shipment of finished products: customers were shipped 212 thousand tons of high-quality Lipetsk cement. June 27th, 2013 was marked by a record daily shipment of finished products. During the day customers were sent 11,332 tons of cement, including 8,734 tons by rail (125 cars) and 2,598 tons were picked up by customers" - said the General Director of Lipetskcement, Vladimir Sokoltsov.

It should be noted that achieving record levels of cement shipment is largely due to the significant increase in 2013 in customer demand for high-quality CEM I 42.5 N and CEM I 32.5 N cements. Acting in the interests of their customers, Lipetskcement has increased production of these types of cement by several times to fully meet customer needs.
