OREANDA-NEWS.  Delegates of OJSC KAMAZ (a member of State Corporation Rostec) met with executive authorities of Astrakhan Oblast in Astrakhan.
The day before, the Government of Astrakhan Oblast, OJSC KAMAZ and OOO EKTOOIL signed an agreement on cooperation to promote a gas engine fuel in Astrakhan Oblast. The expandability of usage of gas as an automobile fuel was discussed at length during today’s meeting chaired by Sergey Krzhanovsky, Deputy Chairman of the Government of Astrakhan Oblast – Minister of Industry, Transport and Natural Resources of Astrakhan Oblast.
The working group included OJSC KAMAZ’s representatives: Ruslan Ziatdinov, Director of NGV Sales at KAMAZ F&T CO Inc.; Anatoly Vinish, Regional Director of Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts at KAMAZ F&T CO Inc.; and Rafael Batyrshin, Director General of OOO RariTEK, KAMAZ’s authorized distributor of gas-powered vehicles. Besides, representatives of ministries and agencies, and also managers of firms of Astrakhan Oblast took part in the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided to work out plans of events for a period till 2020 to switch regional vehicle fleets (at least 30% of all vehicles) over to Compressed Natural Gas. It is planned to carefully examine applications from businessmen who want to receive parcels for automobile gas compressor and multifuel filling stations. Managers of motor transport, specialized organizations, agricultural producers and entrepreneurs of Astrakhan Oblast were asked to determine the potential of signing direct agreements with OJSC KAMAZ to switch vehicles over to a natural gas fuel. The implementation of the decisions taken at the meeting will be controlled directly by the Ministry of Industry, Transport and Natural Resources of Astrakhan Oblast.
Then the participants of the meeting looked round an exhibition of KAMAZ trucks at Service Center KAMAZ of OOO Volgotekhsnab-Kaspiy. The visitors could see a gas-powered KAMAZ-65116-34 bolster-type tractor, a gas-engine Bravis bus, a KAMAZ-6520-26012-73 dump truck, a KAMAZ-4308-6083-28 high-sided truck, and a KAMAZ-5490 (M1842) long-haul tractor from the company’s new model range.
