OREANDA-NEWS. For the third consecutive year, Banco Bradesco was recognized as the "Best Brazilian Bank" by Euromoney Awards for Excellence. Bradesco BBI, the organization's investment bank, was also recognized as the best investment bank in the country, in the same award, which is known for acknowledging the leading financial institutions, the award is granted annually by the British magazine Euromoney, recognized as one of the most important publications in the financial segment worldwide.

The publication highlighted Bradesco's leadership and focus in terms of Operating Efficiency, which results from the continuous investments in technology, strict cost control and gains due to organic growth. In 1Q14, the Organization recorded the highest operating efficiency ratio in the last five years, 40.1%.

Bradesco's adjusted net income in the period of qualification for the award (last twelve months, ended in March 2014) totaled BRL 12.7 billion, up by 9.6%, while assets grew by 3.1%, to BRL 922.2 billion, and shareholders' equity came to BRL 73.3 billion, with interest on shareholders' equity of 20.5%.

Responsible for the origination and execution of merger and acquisitions and origination, structuring, pooling e distribution of fixed and variable income operations in Brazil and abroad, Bradesco BBI provided advisory services to its clients in operations totaling BRL 136.0 billion, which included more than 200 transactions involving all investment banking products in 2013.
