The Prime Minister said that the Moldovan side did not understand why Russia has imposed a ban on the supplies of fruits, vegetables and canned fruits and vegetables from Moldova. Iurie Leanca said that ultimately it is the right of Russia to make a decision on sanctions, and the task of the Moldovan government is now to help producers of fresh and canned products, which will incur losses from the closure of the Russian market.

"We should take care of this important sector of the economy,-" the Premier said, calling useful the discussions with producers and exporters of fruits and vegetables, as well as with representatives of the processing industry. The Prime Minister said that the authorities did not rule out earlier the decision of Russia on the ban of Moldovan fruits, vegetables and canned goods. According to him, since such a decision is already accepted by the Russian side, all awaiting decision of the government of Moldova on assistance to the producers.
