OREANDA-NEWS. The works at the Coal Processing Plant (CPP) at Moatize in Mozambique progressed on to a new phase. Last week the first part of the structure, which will carry the coal to the primary crusher, was raised. The crusher is responsible for carrying out the first reduction in size of the mineral.

The structure, which will be installed in four stages, weighs a total of 80 metric tons. Before any structure is raised, a risk analysis is carried out and a lifting plan is drawn up to guarantee that nothing puts the workers safety at risk.

The beginning of the assembly of the steel structure of the primary crusher, as well as the conclusion of civil infrastructure works of the railway, contributed to the 66% physical advance of the Moatize II Project. The conclusion is scheduled for December 2015.
