OREANDA-NEWS. For the next three years MAYKOR will be responsible for tech support for over 30,000 automated workstations in addition to the print services at 1,200 Rostelecom offices in the Volga Federal District.

"The requirement of IT support in Volga Macroregional Division is more than 14,000 service requests every month. We expect MAYKOR to handle this area in full, something that will reduce the load of office equipment issues on our employees and allow them to concentrate on their profile assignments", commented Dmitry Ochulin, deputy director - IT director at Rostelecom's Volga Macroregional Division.

The support for automated workstation includes: timely maintenance, launching new automated workstations, handling potential equipment bugs, and updating software.

The print service MAYKOR includes all the functionality and expenses tied to servicing equipment and providing consumable materials, as the client will pay only for pages printed. The outsourcer is now also responsible for print monitoring. It will help predict and plan print expenses taking into account actual business needs.

MAYKOR added profile specialists to its staff in the Volga region, and also integrated its service desk systems to enable the company to more nimbly handle incoming service requests.

"The key feature of our agreement with Rostelecom is its duration, which makes it mutually beneficial. The better the client's IT infrastructure works, the simpler the support we offer as a service provider, meaning that MAYKOR will invest as much of its resources as possible so as to boost the fault tolerance of the client's equipment", said Dmitry Selivanov, vice president for key accounts at MAYKOR.
