OREANDA-NEWS. The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali this week has started shipping granulated potassium chloride to New Zealand, the company said in a press-release.

Belaruskali views New Zealand as a gateway to the Australian market - a new export target for the Belarusian potash manufacturer.

Belaruskali exported 3.923 million tonnes of potash fertilizers in Jan-Aug 2014 (up 57% year on year) worth USD 1.825 billion (up 15.8%).

The state-owned Belarusian company OAO Belaruskali is one of the world's largest manufacturers of potash fertilizers, employing about 18,440 personnel. It operates the Starobinskoye potash salts deposit and comprises four mine groups, auxiliary shops and support units.

Belaruskali controls more than 16% of the world's potash fertilizer market.
