OREANDA-NEWS. The Ecuadorian project report was presented at Belorusneft.

From field work to digital processing: the results of seismic operations in Ecuador were successfully reported at Belorusneft. The seismic operations were performed on the total area of 167 square kilometers.

The reports on the results of field and office work on the Panacocha Noreste Block 12 have been delivered to the Ecuadorian partners. This block is located in Eastern Ecuador in the prospective oil-bearing area to the North of the Napo River, the left tributary to the Amazon. The field work was finished there in November, and all data interpretation was completed in January.

The delivery of field and laboratory reports took place in Gomel, with the participation of Manuel Rivera - Head of Seismic Operations Department of Petroamazonas - the state oil company of the Republic of Ecuador. He made special mention of Belarusian experts' excellent work, as well as high level of how all seismic operations and data processing have been organized and carried out.

It will be recalled that the contract on seismic operations in Ecuador was signed in 2013. Under this contract, Belorusneft specialists will have to carry out seismic operations in two years on three prospective blocks: Block 31, Panacocha Noreste Block 12 and Secoya Garzacocha Block 12, on a total area of 1500 sq. km.

This has become the second reporting within the scope of contract execution. In late November, the Belorusneft representatives came to Ecuador to deliver the results of seismic operations on Block 31 to the Petroamazonas state oil company. The seismic acquisition was carried out on the area of 688 sq. km.

Belorusneft still has to complete the field survey of Secoya Garzacocha Block 12 on the area of 581 sq. km. in order to fulfill all contractual obligations. The final report on this block is expected to be prepared in the second quarter of 2015.
