OREANDA-NEWS. Nadezhda Orlova,  FBK Legal Partner, and  Andrew Shkadov,  head of FBK Legal Commercial Practice, took part in the work of the Russian-Chinese business forum “The economic zone. The silk road”.

The participants in the forum discussed the development of the Russian-Chinese economic collaboration, the prospects for investing into the economy of Russia, and the projects of mutual interest.

Andrew Shkadov delivered a report on “The investment climate – the legal aspect” at the section of “The Regional Practice”.

In his speech Andrew Shkadov told the participants in the meeting about the Russian legislation that regulates the order of businesses of foreign companies, particularly their taxation, as well as a number of other procedures in relation to starting and doing business in Russia. The speaker paid special attention to the capability of FBK Legal in the part of legal support and accompaniment to the operation of foreign companies starting their business in our country.

“Investment is a condition for successful development. In the situation of a shortage of loan capital in the country the significance of direct investments increases. But to implement projects in the Russian jurisdiction for our Chinese partners is still a novelty and a challenge. We strive in our practice to simplify and facilitate for the investor the way from the idea to its practical implementation,” pointed out Andrew Shkadov.

The lawyers of FBK Legal have a high opinion of the forum and emphasize its importance for the development of economic relationships between Russia and China.

On the part of Russia the forum was attended by the Association of Regional Investment Agencies, Sberbank, Rossiyskiy Kredit Bank, investment agencies and development agencies from several regions, the representatives of the leading Russian Universities and the Federal Agency for Tourism.

The Chinese party was represented by the heads of major engineering, export-import, investment and construction companies.
