In January–July 2015 volume of foreign currency traded on KASE increased 2.4 times and made up KZT40.1 trln (USD216.6 bn)
OREANDA-NEWS. In January–July 2015 the volume of foreign currencies traded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, reached KZT40,117.8 bn (equivalent to USD216,596.0 mln) and increased 2.4 times against the same period of 2014 (2.3 times in dollar terms).
In comparison with the previous seven-month period (June–December 2014) the volume of trades increased by 86.4 % (83.3 % in dollar terms).

Weighted average KZT/USD rate calculated on all deals in the morning (main) trading session in the period from January 5, 2015 to July 31, 2015, made up KZT186.88 per US dollar, on all exchange-based deals – KZT186.88 per US dollar.
The tenge devalued against the US dollar at the weighted average market rate of 4.82 % APR in the current year. During the first seven months of 2015 the tenge devalued at 2.80 % to the US dollar in nominal terms.
In 2014 the tenge devalued at 18.36 % to the US dollar in nominal terms.
In 2013 the tenge devalued at 2.20 % to the US dollar in nominal terms.
In comparison with the previous seven-month period (June–December 2014) the volume of trades increased by 86.4 % (83.3 % in dollar terms).
