OREANDA-NEWS. Order book turnover on Xetra, Börse Frankfurt and Tradegate Exchange across all asset classes stood at €142.3 billion in August (August 2014: €94.3 billion).

Of the €142.3 billion, €130.9 billion were attributable to Xetra (August 2014: €87.0 billion). The average daily turnover on Xetra stood at €6.2 billion in August (August 2014: €4.1 billion). A turnover of €4.7 billion was attributable to Börse Frankfurt (August 2014: €3.8 billion). Order book turnover on Tradegate Exchange* totalled approximately €6.7 billion in August (August 2014: €3.5 billion).

Broken down by asset classes, cash market turnover in equities reached about €121.3 billion. Turnover in ETFs/ETCs/ETNs amounted to €18.5 billion. Turnover in bonds was €0.6 billion, and in structured products €1.6 billion. The electronic trading platform Eurex Bonds traded €6.8 billion (single counting, mainly government bonds) in August (August 2014: €5.4 billion).

Viewed by transactions, a total of 22.0 million trades were executed on Xetra in August (August 2014: 16.4 million).

The DAX security with the highest turnover on Xetra in August was Daimler AG at €7.9 billion. Deutsche Annington Immobilien SE led the MDAX equities at €790.5 million, while Ströer SE topped the SDAX equity index with €209.2 million, and Dialog Semi-conductor plc headed TecDAX with €843.5 million. The ETF with the highest turnover on Xetra was iShares Core DAX UCITS ETF with €2.1 billion.
