OREANDA-NEWS Customs officers found parasitic mushrooms worth ₽1 million in a parcel from India. This is reported by the press service of the Central Postal Customs.
When scanning a parcel at the post office in Moscow, 200 g of Chinese cordyceps mushrooms were found.
"The order, the cost of which is estimated at 1 million rubles, was intended for a resident of the city of Kotelniki near Moscow," the department said. Customs officers refused to let the parcel into Russia and returned the goods to the sender.
At the same time, the sender himself estimated the contents of the parcel at 200 rupees (about $ 2.5). Experts called the contents of the parcel "the most expensive mushroom used in oriental medicine." Its import is allowed only if there is an international veterinary certificate or with the permission of the Rosselkhoznadzor. There were no permits for the import of goods.
In early July, employees of the Central Postal Customs in Moscow found "objects similar to mines" in one of the shipments. They turned out to be the hulls of anti-personnel mines from the Second World War. The building of the postal customs was evacuated. At the same time, the sender indicated in the documents that he was sending street retrophones. The package was supposed to go to the USA.
