OREANDA-NEWS  Russia in July 2023 increased food production by 11.3% compared to July 2022, also increased output compared to June of this year - by 8%, follows from the materials of Rosstat.

"Food production in July 2023 increased by 11.3% compared to July 2022 and by 8.0% compared to June 2023. In general, in January-July 2023, the production of food products increased by 6.2% compared to January-July 2022," the materials say.

In particular, 293.05 thousand tons of cattle, pork, lamb, goat, horse meat and other animals were produced in July 2023, 2.1% more than in July 2022; steamed pork, cooled or chilled - 265.6 thousand tons (plus 0.9%), chilled poultry meat - 271.6 thousand tons (minus 2.1%).

Unrefined sunflower oil and its fractions produced 569 thousand tons, 34.4% more than in July 2022, refined – 233.5 thousand tons, 16.9% more.
