OREANDA-NEWS The US Court of Appeals has recognized that President Donald Trump violates the first constitutional amendment, blocking Twitter users who express a point of view with which he disagrees. Thus, the appellate court upheld last year’s decision of the New York court.

In today's statement of the appeals court, Mr. Trump “applied discrimination that contradicts the provisions of the constitution to the expressed opinions, using the blocking function on Twitter and thus restricting the access of certain users of the service to his public account. This account is open to the rest of the public, but the blocking was applied to those with whose opinion he did not agree.” The lawsuit against Mr. Trump was filed by seven users blocked by him with the support of the human rights institution at Columbia University. The statement said that the US president is violating the provisions of the first amendment to the US Constitution, which guarantees the right to freedom of speech and protest.
