OREANDA-NEWS  Russian forward of the Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin swore at the referee in the National Hockey League (NHL) match against the Ottawa Senators.

The incident occurred at the end of the first period, when the line judge prevented the captain of the capital club from taking the puck in the majority. "Get out of here," Ovechkin shouted obscenely at him.

The match ended with a score of 6:3 in favor of Washington. In general, Alexander Ovechkin did not have this meeting. He managed to get a "-3" utility score in a match in which his team scored six goals and conceded only three.
