OREANDA-NEWS In Russia, since June 3, 35 people have died from poisoning with surrogate alcohol, including one child, 106 people have been injured, including five children, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said during a plenary session of the State Duma on Wednesday.

Earlier it was reported that in the Ulyanovsk, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, Kurgan regions, as well as in Udmurtia, a number of cases of alcohol poisoning, including fatal ones, were detected. Most cases are associated with the use of alcohol-containing drink of Samara production "Mr. Cider".

The suspects in the case of mass poisoning are Dmitry and Alexey Egorov, who, according to the investigation, in complicity with police officer Ivan Grebenkin, stole 6 tons of methyl alcohol from the warehouse of the Federal State Institution "Center for Economic and Service Support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Samara Region" in May.

According to the investigation, the alcohol was sold to Artyom Hayrapetyan, who carried out illegal deliveries to the owner of Andi LLC, Anar Huseynov.

In relation to Dmitry Egorov and Grebenkin, a criminal case was opened in the GSU on the fact of alcohol theft (paragraph "c" of Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), they pleaded guilty. The court arrested both on August 8. Hayrapetyan was taken into custody until August 4 inclusive on charges under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet security requirements). Alexey Egorov is wanted.

The owner of "Andi" Huseynov was detained in Samara and taken to Ulyanovsk, where he was charged under Part 3 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He was arrested until August 4 inclusive.
