Housing commissioning in Russia in January increased by 18%

OREANDA-NEWS The commissioning of housing on the territory of the Russian Federation in January 2023 amounted to 12.2 million square meters, which is 18% more than in the same period last year. This is stated in the materials of Rosstat, distributed on Wednesday.
It is noted that almost 6.3 million square meters were built by the population in January. They say this is 12.5% more compared to January 2022.
According to Rosstat, the three leading regions in terms of housing construction include the Moscow Region (1.1 million square meters), Moscow (996.7 thousand square meters) and Krasnodar Krai (906.1 thousand square meters).
"The main thing now is to continue working at the picked pace and create conditions for working even more productively. The tools that have already been introduced into the construction industry allow us to increase the urban development potential," commented Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services.
