OREANDA-NEWS The mutual trade turnover between Belarus and Russia by the end of 2022 exceeded $45 billion, Belarusian Economy Minister Alexander Chervyakov said.

The minister said this, commenting on the results of the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State with the participation of the Presidents of Belarus and Russia. His words are quoted by the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Economy.

"A record figure of exports to the Russian Federation has been secured - almost $23 billion. Russia's share in the total trade turnover of our country has reached 60%, and our share in Russian imports has increased to 9%, significantly exceeding the average level over the past 20 years (5-6%)," the Belarusian Economy Minister added.

He said that this year Belarus "plans to increase supplies to the Russian Federation by 6.5% or $1.5 billion."
