OREANDA-NEWS   Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the head of the Presidential Council of Libya, Mohammed Murphy, said that the potential for cooperation between the two countries has not been exhausted, although trade is developing well.

"We have many years of experience in productive collaboration, and I think that even the potential of our interaction is far from exhausted. Although trade and economic ties and cooperation are developing quite well on the whole," Putin said.

He noted that Libya is a long-standing partner of Russia in North Africa.

"The trade turnover in 2022 increased by 67.5 percent. This is, of course, a good indicator. And in January-April it increased almost twice more," the President of the Russian Federation noted.

Among the priority areas, he named industrial and transport infrastructure, energy.
