REC selected the best exporters of Russia in 2023

OREANDA-NEWS The best exporters of the country were named on October 3 in Moscow, the winners of the All-Russian Award in the field of international cooperation and export "Exporter of the Year 2023" were determined at a meeting of the Federal Competition Commission, the Russian Export Center (REC, VEB.RF Group) reports.
The event was held by the chairman of the Federal Competition Commission, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Andrey Belousov.
"The year 2022 is probably one of the most difficult in our recent history. The nominees of the contest passed the toughest selection, the toughest school and continued their work, despite all attempts to isolate our country and our exports. By the end of 2022, Russian commodity exports not only did not decrease - they set a historical record, amounting to almost $ 600 billion. Despite the sanctions restrictions, the volume of non-primary non-energy exports has reached a high level of almost $ 200 billion. These figures speak for themselves. I would like to note that there are a lot of people behind these figures, teams of companies that broke through new logistics routes, entered new markets. This all requires a very high assessment. Each nominee is already a winner. I want to sincerely congratulate and thank everyone," Belousov said.
Winners and prize-winners this year were established in 20 nominations: six main ones (separately for SMEs and separately for large businesses, a total of 12) and five additional nominations (depending on the size of the company, a total of 8). This year, a new additional nomination for SMEs appeared in the competition: "The best exporter in the field of electronic commerce".
This year, more than 1.5 thousand applications were submitted for participation in the competition. Over 420 participants of the competition this year are representatives of Central Russia. Among the top 5, the Volga region exporters are in second place (377 applications). Then there are the North-Western (168 applications), Ural (156 applications), Siberian (124 applications) federal districts.
Traditionally, industrialists participate most actively in the competition - "Exporter of the Year in the field of industry" (668 applications). The second most popular nomination is "Exporter of the Year in the field of basic agricultural products" (177 applications), and the third is "Exporter of the year in the field of finished food (high processing)" (162 applications). This year, half of the companies participated in the competition for the first time.
