OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Federation does not refuse to negotiate on Ukraine, if the United States would like, they could command Kiev to cancel the decree banning dialogue with Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"Speaking of negotiations, we are not giving up on them now, President Putin has said this many times, including recently," he said during a meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukraine.

Addressing US Secretary of State Anthony Blinkin, who said at the meeting that Kiev had proposed a plan to achieve peace, and Moscow had nothing, Lavrov noted that Vladimir Zelensky had signed a decree prohibiting negotiations.

"If the United States is so interested in them, then, I think, it will not be difficult to give the command for this decree of (Vladimir) Zelensky to be canceled," the Russian minister added.
