OREANDA-NEWS Russia has entered the top five leading countries in the number of foreign students, next year the quota will grow to 30 thousand, said the head of Rossotrudnichestvo Yevgeny Primakov.
"Education in the Russian Federation is in demand... The number is growing, now there will be already 30 thousand people annually... Due to the increase in the quota, according to some experts, Russia has entered the top 5 countries in the world where foreigners receive higher education," he said during a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions of Eurasian states following the results of the Perm forum "Europe" organized by the Russian parliamentary "Eurasian Dialogue" with the support of the international commission of the United Russia party.Asia: Dialogue of Civilizations".
Primakov explained that in the 2022-23 academic year, Russia allocated 23 thousand budget places for foreign students, among whom citizens of Belarus, Vietnam, China, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan were the leaders.
