OREANDA-NEWS  Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin called on young people to go to work for domestic enterprises to design and build engines, technologies, rockets, new planes, cars. He stated this during a visit to PJSC UEC-Kuznetsov in Samara, RIA Novosti writes.

According to him, heavy engineering and transport engineering are developing in the country, so "everything will work out for us." The Prime minister was pleased with the large number of young people he saw at the enterprise during the inspection.

Mishustin explained that, according to the managers, in the last four years, the company specializing in aviation and space engine building has updated its staff by 40 percent, that is, two out of five experienced employees have been replaced.

Earlier, the first deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Vasily Osmakov called the shortage of personnel the main problem of Russian industry. According to the Yegor Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy, 35 percent of Russian industrial enterprises faced a shortage of workers in April 2023, which was a record since 1996.
