OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian ground forces received more than 1,500 tanks in 2023, according to the collection of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, released at the end of 2023.

"More than 1,500 new and modernized tanks, over 2,500 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers have been delivered to the Ground Forces," the collection notes.

New T-90M "Breakthrough" tanks are being supplied to Russian groups of troops in the zone of their defense, which the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, recently called the best serial and armed tanks in the world.

Also, the troops are receiving deeply modernized T-72B3, T-72B3M and T-80BV M vehicles, which are at the most modern level in terms of their characteristics.
