OREANDA-NEWS The International Olympic Committee (IOC), which temporarily suspended the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC), has not yet made a decision on the admission of Russians to the Olympics. But reserves the right to do so at the "right time". This was announced to journalists by the IOC Director of Communications Mark Adams.

Adams also clarified that the suspension of the ROC, associated with the inclusion of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions in the organization of the Olympic Councils, will not affect the situation with the participation of neutral athletes in the Games.

"Recommendations on the admission of athletes to international competitions remain in force, the IOC reserves the right to make a decision on the admission of athletes in neutral status before the Olympics in Paris and Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, - said Adams. - We have no time frame, the decision will be made at the right time, closer to the Games."

The Summer Games in Paris will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
