OREANDA-NEWS  The points of growth and how cooperation between Russia and Iran is developing now were discussed at the Made in Russia forum at the session "Russia-Iran: Expanding Opportunities", which was held on October 19.

"Iran as an economic partner of Russia acts in different roles. For example, we have great potential in industrial cooperation – in the automotive industry, aircraft industry, oil and gas sector and construction. Iran is also a significant logistics partner for the formation of alternative ways of transporting goods. Therefore, bilateral support of our business communities is important for the REC as a development institution," said Dmitry Prokhorenko, moderator of the session, Director for the Development of the foreign network of the Russian Export Center Group (VEB.RF Group).

The session participants discussed prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between Russia and Iran, government support for business, including insurance and credit guarantee, investment cooperation, logistics optimization and transit development through Iran to third countries, as well as interaction between the customs authorities of the two countries.

The session was attended by Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali, First Vice President of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mehdi Sadeginyaraki, EGFI CEO Seyid Amir Burkhani.
