OREANDA-NEWS  Russia has almost run out of Bacardi rum, Grey Goose vodka and Bombay Sapphire gin. The main products of the Bacardi Limited alcohol company end up in stores, as the only multinational alcohol company that officially continues to work after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine has stopped official deliveries, RBC reports.

X5 Group (Pyaterochka, Perekrestok, Chizhik) confirmed that the international company has stopped shipping popular rum. In addition to these brands, Aberfeldy whiskey and Patron tequila have stopped being supplied to Russia. Bacardi has not stopped shipping only vermouths and sparkling wines under the Martini brand from Italian manufacturers — according to AST CEO Leonid Rafailov, this is due to the country's more loyal attitude towards Russia.

Now there are also Dewar's and William Lawson's whiskey in Russia, as well as Oakheart rum. The last two Bacardi-owned trademarks are manufactured in Russia at the facilities of Novabev Group and Tula Distillery 1911.

The American alcohol producer Bacardi, amid promises to suspend work in Russia, delivered $ 169 million worth of products to the country in 12 months, writes The Wall Street Journal (WSJ). By selling drinks, the company increased revenue by 8.5 percent to 30 billion rubles from mid-2022 to August 2023. According to journalists, the company was able to achieve growth by occupying vacant niches in the market.
