OREANDA-NEWS At St. Petersburg's Pulkovo airport, a swarm of bees attacked planes and disrupted flights to Moscow and Kazan. This is reported by the Telegram channel "112".

It is noted that the Nordwind Airlines flight to Kazan was postponed, as bees clung to the plane as soon as the ramp was adjusted to it. The airport decided that it could be dangerous for passengers. The liner to Moscow was delayed for the same reason.

Earlier, a swarm of wild bees attacked planes at Kolkata airport in India and disrupted two flights. It is still unknown why bees swarmed on airplanes. According to the source, they can move nests for two reasons: either their original hive becomes unviable due to diseases, pests or any environmental changes, or the colony outgrows it.
