OREANDA-NEWS  The cost of new Russian Volga cars will start from 2.5 million rubles. This forecast was shared by auto expert Maxim Kadakov, his words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

New cars of the Volga brand were presented at the exhibition "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" (CIPR-2024) in Nizhny Novgorod. According to the manufacturers, the production of the machines will start in 2024, and in 2025 production will switch to full cycle mode. The price of the Volga C40 sedan will be about 2.5 million rubles. The K30 and K40 crossovers will cost customers 2.5-3 and 3-3.5 million rubles, respectively.

"I think that the Volga sedan will be about the same price as the Lada Aura — about 2.5 million rubles. They want to play in the so—called mass prestige segment. Maybe even cheaper than 2.5 million rubles, depending on the configuration. At the same time, the Volga is better equipped: a more advanced multimedia system, it has more airbags and a more powerful engine," Kadakov called the estimated prices.

Declared as Russian, the Volga cars are repainted Changan. At the same time, the C40 sedan has a different bumper and grille from the prototype of the Raeton Plus. The Volga K30 crossover is a redesigned Oshan X5 Plus (Changan sub-brand), also with a new bumper and grille.

During the exhibition "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" (CIPR-2024) in Nizhny Novgorod, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted that the new models look modern, but also criticized the revived Volga due to the fact that not all machine parts are manufactured in the country. In particular, the Chinese steering wheel attracted his attention — it is easier to localize their production than the box and all other elements, Mishustin stressed.
