OREANDA-NEWS "The government has added to the list of goods prohibited for import and sale on the territory of Belarus... a response to Latvia's decision to close the Silene automobile checkpoint on the border with Belarus," the Belarusian Council of Ministers said in a statement.

The list includes coffee, marmalade, fruit, beer, spirits, tights, stockings, socks, bricks and a number of other products originating from Latvia.

Earlier, a member of the European Parliament from Poland, Anzhelika Anna Mozhdzhanovskaya, stated the need to urgently ban the import of Belarusian furniture to the European Union. She sent a request to the EU Council, in which she told about the losses of Polish producers in this sector. RT has read the document.
