OREANDA-NEWS Athletes from Russia and Belarus will miss the Winter Olympics in South Korea.

The International Olympic Committee announced that representatives of Russia and Belarus will not be allowed to participate in the Winter Youth Olympics. The competition will be held from January 19 to February 1, 2024 in South Korea.

The IOC said in a statement that athletes from our country and Belarus, even in neutral status, cannot participate in competitions.

"No single neutral athlete is qualified to participate in the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games," the international organization stated.

This was previously discussed in the ROC, stressing that participation in the Youth Olympic Games is "not possible" for our athletes.

However, there is nothing surprising in another humiliation from the IOC. The fact that Russian and Belarusian athletes are required to perform under a neutral flag and abandon their country (demanding to fill out special forms) is a real indicator that everything is already clear with this organization.

The situation in international sports, which has developed at the suggestion of Western functionaries right now, was outlined earlier by the president of the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation and the head coach of the national team, Irina Viner.
