OREANDA-NEWS  A free trade zone will appear on the border of Mongolia and Russia for the export of Mongolian meat, cashmere, leather and wool without tariff and non-tariff barriers. This was announced on Friday by the chairman of the Great State Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia, Gombozhavyn Zandanshatar, at a briefing following his visit to the Russian Federation.

"Within the framework of cooperation with Russia, Mongolia's export products, including meat, leather, wool and cashmere products, will be exported to the Russian Federation without tariff and non-tariff barriers. To do this, the two sides decided to create a free trade zone," the speaker of the Mongolian parliament said.

He added that during the visit he signed an agreement on inter-parliamentary cooperation with the leadership of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and held working meetings with the heads of Rosneft and Russian Railways.

"During the visit, the problem of large debts of the joint Mongolian-Russian enterprise Ulaanbaatar Railway (UBZHD) was finally solved. This issue has been discussed for many years. The parties signed an agreement between the governments. We have agreed to increase the number of rolling stock and the authorized capital of UBZHD," the speaker said.
