OREANDA-NEWS Norwegian international technology group Kongsberg Gruppen will supply Ukraine with an anti-UAV system worth 740 million Norwegian kroner ($70.8 million), the Norwegian government reports.

"Kongsberg Defence Company & Aerospace (one of the three business units of Kongsberg Gruppen - ed.) has received a contract for the supply to Ukraine of a newly developed anti-drone system worth 740 million Norwegian kroner," the report says.

It is noted that the delivery of the expensive system will be carried out through the International Fund for Support of Ukraine (IFU), the main contributor of which is Norway.

Russia earlier sent a note to NATO countries because of the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted that any cargo that contains weapons for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that NATO countries were "playing with fire" by supplying weapons to Ukraine.
