OREANDA-NEWS  The level of anti-Semitism in Russia has decreased by 16% since 2019, the press service of the International Fund of Mountain Jews "STMEGI" told RIA Novosti, citing data from the international rating of the "Anti-Defamation League".

The Anti—Defamation League (ADL), an authoritative (American – ed.) Jewish anti—Semitism organization that has existed since 1913, has presented its updated international rating "ADL 100 Global Index".

According to the rating, the level of anti-Semitism in Russia has decreased by more than 16% since 2019, when the previous study was conducted. If in 2019 the indicator of the "anti-Semitic threat" for Jews in the Russian Federation was 31%, then in 2023 it was 26%. According to this indicator, Russia has equaled Spain in the ADL 100 Global Index ranking and has surpassed almost all countries of Central and Eastern Europe," the fund said.

As explained in the fund, the indicator of the "anti–Semitic threat" in 2019 is taken as 100% - therefore, a decrease of 16% was recorded.
