OREANDA-NEWS  British boxer Anthony Yard complained after losing to Artur Beterbiev that he was getting Russians as rivals. His words are quoted by Boxingscene.

The athlete said that he has grown since 2019, when he lost to Russian Sergey Kovalev. He regretted that he never became a world champion. "I keep getting these Russian monsters with muscles and abs," Yarde summed up.

Yard lost to Beterbiev by technical knockout in the eighth round on January 29. The Russian defended the title of world champion according to the versions of the International Boxing Federation (IBF), the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the World Boxing Organization (WBO) in the light heavyweight category.

Yard had 26 fights in the professional ring, in which he suffered three defeats. Twice he lost to Russian boxers. In 2019, Yard was knocked out by Kovalev, and in 2023 he lost to Beterbiev.
