OREANDA-NEWS  The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, in a comment to RIA Novosti, called the appearance on the website of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of a petition asking to invite foreign troops to the country a signal of exhaustion of the army.

"This is an obvious signal of the exhaustion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (Armed Forces of Ukraine — approx. "The tape.ru") and the near collapse of this gang. We are on the eve of a big showdown called "the fall of the Ukrainian front and the final collapse of the territories," he said, adding that changes are coming in the country.

On May 7, a petition appeared on Zelensky's website with a proposal to call on foreign leaders to send their troops to Ukraine. According to its author, the country's government should seek help from the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the appearance of the petition is a provocation. He recalled the repeated warnings of the Russian side that the intervention of NATO countries in the conflict poses a huge danger.
