OREANDA-NEWS The number of tourist trips to European countries from Russia has increased by 30 percent since the beginning of the year, flight programs to Montenegro and Cyprus have good indicators, Dmitry Gorin, Vice President of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry (PCT), said during a press conference.

He noted that due to the complex transport logistics, the number of trips to Europe from the Russian Federation has decreased in recent years – since the beginning of the pandemic. However, according to him, this indicator has been growing since the beginning of 2023.

"We note that the number of trips to the EU countries has increased by about 30 percent due to adaptation and partly competitive prices for air transportation," Gorin said.

He noted that this summer the tour operators had well implemented flight programs through Kuwait to Montenegro, as well as tours to Cyprus through Yerevan. "All this makes it possible for travelers to travel to Europe with a flight at 11-15 hours, including a transfer," said the Vice President of the PCT.
