Rostec will show more than 100 Russian developments at the defense exhibition in Saudi Arabia

OREANDA-NEWS Rostec will show more than 100 developments at the International Arms Exhibition World Defense Show 2024 in Saudi Arabia, including the Il-76MD-90A(E) heavy transporter and the T-90MS tank. This was reported in the press service of the state corporation.
"The World Defense Show is a young exhibition that is being held for only the second time, but has already become one of the key events for arms manufacturers from around the world. The States of the Middle East and North Africa show great interest in weapons and military equipment, which have proven their characteristics in real combat operations and have shown superiority over the products of our competitors. <...> This year our exposition will include more than 100 developments - almost the entire range of modern Russian-made weapons," the press service quoted the head of the corporation Sergey Chemezov as saying.
They reported that the Il-76MD-90A(E) heavy transport aircraft will be the key one at the exhibition. In addition, a BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle with dynamic protection and a T-90MS tank and small arms of the Kalashnikov concern will be brought to Saudi Arabia: AK-12, AK-15, AK-19 and AK-308 submachine guns, as well as a Kalashnikov PPK-20 submachine gun and a Chukavin sniper rifle. In addition, the Kub barrage munition in the export version will be presented.
"The means of countering drones are also included in the exhibition. In particular, the High-Precision Complexes holding will show an airspace control system that is capable of simultaneously tracking up to 20 aircraft, including small-sized drones, and determining their type, altitude, and distance to them," they said, adding that the holding will also bring an anti-aircraft missile and cannon to Riyadh the Pantsir-S1M complex, the Iskander-E tactical missile system, the Kornet anti-tank complex and the Krasnopol-M2 guided projectile with a caliber of 155 mm.
