OREANDA-NEWS  Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Vasily Nebenzia demanded that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) indicate the source of the attacks on the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Nebenzia asked the IAEA leadership "not to engage in verbal balancing act", but to name the source of the attacks on the NPP. He stressed that this issue is not political. According to the diplomat, this affects the safety of the plant, as well as the nuclear and radiation safety of Europe.

"If such an impersonal interpretation of the agency's nuclear power plant attacks continues, the efforts undertaken by the IAEA will largely lose their meaning," he concluded.

Earlier, the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, called for an immediate end to attacks on the NPP. Prior to that, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he considered the security situation at the NPP shaky.
