OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian military has destroyed a militant base in the Syrian province of Homs, Deputy head of the Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in the Syrian Arab Republic, Major General Yuri Popov, said on Sunday.

"The Russian aerospace forces destroyed one base of militants who left the Al-Tanf zone and took refuge in hard-to-reach areas of the Al-Amur mountain range in Homs province," he said.

The deputy head of the Central Command of the Air Force also announced violations in the skies of Syria by the American-Syrian coalition.

"During the day, the coalition recorded five cases of violations of deconfliction protocols dated December 9, 2019, related to flights of unmanned aerial vehicles that were not coordinated with the Russian side," Popov informed.
