OREANDA-NEWS  Attacks by Ukrainian drones on Russian oil refineries (refineries) can undermine the global market for petroleum products. Such a threat is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the International Energy Agency (IEA).

The organization clarified that the consequences of Ukraine's recent attacks on Russian refineries on the global oil products market have not yet had time to fully manifest themselves. However, such a threat may appear in the foreseeable future. "The potential remains for a tighter balance in the market in the coming months," the IEA said.

Analysts recalled that the global oil products market continues to depend on the supply of Russian diesel fuel, as well as naphtha and jet fuel. However, due to attacks by Ukrainian drones, since the end of January 2024, a total of more than two million barrels per day of refining capacity in the Russian Federation have been under threat.
